Engagement photos at Palm Beach County parks need a county photography permit when a professional shoots the session. The county asks you to allow five business days for it, and one daily permit covers a single session of up to three hours at one park. My engagement sessions start at $395 (45 minutes, 30 edited photos), so plan your date at least a week out.
I’m Felipe from The Love Pics. I photograph couples across Palm Beach County, and this page covers the one thing couples usually find out too late: the permit, the timing and what the county allows.
Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation requires a permit for a business to run professional photography sessions in its parks. It covers private sessions such as engagement photos, marriage proposals, couples portraits and family portraits.
For Riverbend Park in Jupiter the county lists a separate contact for daily permits (riverbendpark@pbc.gov). If your plan is a river and forest look, tell me early so the application goes to the right office.
Pick two or three parks you like and send them to me. I check whether each one needs a permit before we lock the date, so there are no surprises on the day.
Leave a week of margin for the permit. A last-minute session is easier at a spot that is not a county park.
Prices are before tax. The county permit, when a park needs one, is a separate fee set by the county; ask me or check the county parks page for the current amount.
A 25% deposit holds your date; the balance is due on the day of the session.

Yes, when a professional photographer runs the session. The county requires a permit for a business to hold private professional sessions in its parks, and engagement photos are listed as covered. Check the county parks page for the current fee.
The county asks you to allow five business days from the date the application is submitted. I recommend booking your session at least a week and a half ahead when you want a county park.
A daily permit covers one session of up to three hours at one park. My 45 and 75 minute engagement sessions fit well inside that limit.
To the county parks office at John Prince Park, 2700 6th Avenue South, Lake Worth, or by email to parksphoto@pbc.gov. Riverbend Park daily permits go to riverbendpark@pbc.gov. Fees and rules can change, so confirm with the county.
Yes. Many couples pick a city beach, a downtown street or a garden. Each place has its own rules, so tell me where you are thinking and I check before we book.
