Morikami engagement photos in Delray Beach happen in a private session: the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens books photography for couples outside its public hours, so the bridges and paths are yours. I’m Felipe from The Love Pics. My engagement sessions start at $395 for 45 minutes and 30 edited photos, and your full gallery arrives in less than 24 hours.
It takes a little planning, and it is worth it. This page explains how the museum’s booking works. See all my engagement sessions.
The Morikami, at 4000 Morikami Park Road, is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Mondays. Private photography sessions are scheduled during non-operating hours and reserved through its Facility Rental Department. Engagement or couples photos and marriage proposals are on the museum’s list.
Museum exhibits and galleries may not be photographed at any time; the session is in the gardens. Outfit changes are allowed only in designated changing rooms, which must be requested when you book and depend on availability.
Props may be allowed, but the Morikami’s staff has to approve them first. Tell me early if you want to bring anything, from a bouquet to a parasol, so it goes into the request.
First you choose a date and a window; the two-hour morning slot from 8 to 10 a.m. has the softest light and the coolest air. Then the reservation is made with the museum, and once it confirms, we lock my session on the same time.
With three guests in the base rate, it is usually the two of you and me. If you want parents or friends in a few photos, we add them to the guest count when booking. Wear shoes for gravel paths and wooden bridges.
Prices are before tax. The Morikami charges its own rate and a refundable security deposit for private photography sessions; ask its Facility Rental Department for the current amounts.
A 25% deposit holds your date; the balance is due on the day of the session.

Professional sessions are booked as private photography sessions during non-operating hours, through the museum’s Facility Rental Department. That is good news for the photos: the gardens are closed to the public, so there is nobody in the background.
The museum asks for reservations a minimum of 3 to 7 days in advance, and weekend times are limited. I suggest choosing your date three or four weeks out, so you get the window you want and there is time to plan outfits.
The museum’s base rate covers up to three guests for two hours, and the photographer counts as one of them. More guests can be added, up to eight people in total, for an additional charge per guest set by the museum.
Outfit changes are allowed only in the museum’s changing rooms, which you request when booking. Props need approval from the Morikami’s staff. Tell me what you have in mind and it goes into the reservation request.
My Classic Engagement is $395: 45 minutes and 30 edited photos. The Signature Session is $545, with 75 minutes and 50 photos, and Signature + Reel is $795. The Morikami’s own rate for the private session is separate and paid to the museum.
Choose your session and hold the date with a 25% deposit. Questions first? Text me and I reply within 24 hours.
